Come to class!

Participate.

Discuss. Answer questions. Ask questions.

Take good notes.

Relate subject matter to things you like or other things / topics you are interested in OR ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT, if you can.

Read ahead. Or just read what's assigned.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Do what you've been asked to do.
Follow directions.
Read the syllabus.
Know the procedures.

Take your professor out to lunch. Buy him or her some coffee. Or just meet to talk about whatever.

You might one day need a recommendation from someone. That person will give you a good recommendation only if they personally know you, and think highly of you and your work ethic, abilities, interest, motivation, and so on. So show your professors, and everyone else, that you have these good qualities .. SINCE YOU DO!
